Biography

Born 1940. Professor for Labour Law and Civil Law from 1974 to 1977 at the University of Hamburg/Germany and since 1977 at the Law School of the J.W.Goethe University in Frankfurt/Germany. Visiting Professor in many universities all over the world, particularly in France and in the USA. 2000 - 2003 President of the International Industrial Relations Association. 1998 - 2002 Deputy President of the German Law Association. Faculty member of annually held international seminars in Hungary, Italy and France. Continuous cooperation with the Commission of the European Communities and with the International Labour Organisation. Consultant to many Governments, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe.
