Biography
Katharina Pistor is professor of law at Columbia Law School. Before
joining the faculty of Columbia Law School in 2001, she taught at
the Kennedy School of Government, and worked at the Max Planck Institute
for Foreign and International Private Law in Hamburg (Germany).
Her main research interests are comparative law, comparative corporate
governance, and the development of legal institutions with special
emphasis on the evolution of law in transitional and emerging economies.
